Small Compass Medallion
6 inch no-curved-seams compass with early applique practice. This piece gave me the confidence to dump monofilament and quilt with visible thread.

My first real domestic machine quilting with visible thread - although very subtle (the cotton thread is grey or otherwise matching the fabric), this quilt gave me the confidence to continue using visible thread in my quilting
The Drunkard's Path blocks are turned-edge machine applique and the compass was pieced with freezer paper templates - this quilt looks so different in different lighting... =)
