Happy Holidays and Starburst Quilting

Starburst Quilting

The starbursts look good around the 76 variable stars in the border. But dang! the quilting in Christmas Stars has so much double stitching - by the time I’m done, I could have finished two quilts!

What? Purple Thread in a Christmas Quilt?

It feels like I've been quilting only in red and green for months so when I saw that bit of purple in the green fabric - I went for it. The thread choice has nothing to do with Pantone selecting Very Peri as the 2022 color of the year... 😀

Bowling

My team, doubles partner, and I had fun at the Phoenix tournaments last weekend but we didn’t make any money. I’m done bowling until 2022 - kinda excited about the short break, but I imagine I’ll miss bowling too.

Next Time

We’ll be in California visiting family next week. When we get back, I’ll have to pack up Christmas Stars and start on another project or two. My new mandala class is half planned; the handouts need some photos and the how-to videos need to get made. After that, I can start work on another personal project - it’s exciting to think about what I might get to do!

I really enjoyed working on Christmas Stars this season but Christmas 2021 got here too fast. We’ll get it done before Christmas 2022.

Happy Holidays!

Christmas back yard in Tucson - the tomatoes at the bottom are still producing!!!

Quilt your way!
