Inaugural Mandala Class

A short, fast blog post because I’m on my way to Las Vegas to bowl two PBA events…

Mandala Class

The very first Mandala class went very well! It’s a second level turned-edge machine applique class teaching unit construction and reinforcing smooth curves and pointy points. Two sessions: #1 edge turning and #2 stitching.

The participants were wonderful, the handouts were almost error free, and the videos did a good job of demonstrating. We have to adjust the timing a bit; the stitching session needs another hour added. I’m excited about the next class in April.

Quilt Fiesta 2022

The Tucson Quilters Guild’s first quilt show at the Pima County Fairgrounds was fun. I got to help set up the metal frames used to display the quilts and I ‘white-gloved’ one afternoon. The quilts were fantastic. The new venue and the judging were interesting. My weekly budget got spent at the vendor booths and I’m already thinking about next year’s show!

Bowling

This week is Las Vegas for the West Region PBA Non-Champions tournament and the Member/Nonmember doubles tournament. Wish me luck!

Oh, my trunk has three new balls. They might need a new bag.

Next Time

Toronto Architecture (here) is getting borders. The trouble is… um,… the inside is so cool - I don’t want to duck it up with a mediocre border. Designing in this mode frightens me. Next time there’ll be pictures.

A Cameo 4 might be coming my way! It has a roller blade! Oh dear, here come skating memories from young adulthood. And spandex shorts…

Quilt your way!
