Church Bulletin Cross
Mom and I used the same old church bulletin as the starting point for our quilts. Old leather Bible covers and manuscript marginalia inspired the Trinity Rings border.
The black got stitched to the blue background first, then the unadorned cross was created and stitched to the black, now the jeweled adornments are getting machine appliquéd - I maybe should have done this in a different sequence...
Getting ready to stitch some of the Trinity Rings to their purple backgrounds - I think there's 22 Trinity Ring sets and 8 of them got silk highlights behind the rings
Planning the Trinity Ring border
Machine appliquéing the Trinity Ring border - I love my magnifier for machine applique!
Corners for the Trinity Ring border - maybe they could make an interesting block or quilt all by themselves
Windex isn't sure this is all going to work out as planned - I love that black polished cotton, it looks a little like leather
Planning and adapting the church bulletin cross with Mom on the hotel wall at a Blythe CA family quilting retreat - obviously in December =)
I went to Lutheran schools through my bachelor's degree - at one time I was in the pre-seminary program
