Two things: 1) traditional quilting patterns can make great applique, and 2) creating borders is one of my favorite quilting projects
The dots were necessary to soften the checkerboard, right?
Portions of Tilde were assembled using machine applique rather than piecing - the central medallion is about to be machine appliquéd onto the four corners
Planning the borders and fabric selection - these are some of my favorite days!
